Dunnellon Community Fifth Annual Fashion Show

Ladies from the Dunnellon Community Thrift Shop are lined up for the modeling finale at the fifth annual Fashion Show extravaganza held November 7th at the Rainbow Rivers Club.  More than 60 guests enjoyed the show, had an opportunity to purchase clothing and jewelry brought from the Thrift Shop, win door prizes, and enjoy refreshments of gourmet tea sandwiches and numerous decadent desserts.  This event showcases the quality clothing, jewelry, and accessories available in the shop which is located in the Historic District at the corner of W. Pennsylvania Avenue and Cedar Street across from the Blues Brothers statues.  This all volunteer organization donates its profits back to the Dunnellon community and welcomes new members.

The Dunnellon Community Thrift Shop participated in the Halloween TRAIL OF TREATS sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce on October 31, 2011.  Approximately 250 children visited our shop during the 2 hour period.  Halloween musical “hits” played while the scarecrow danced (Jim Keenum, husband of volunteer Arline Keenum).

Group of trick or treaters.  Volunteers Melissa Duke and Arline Keenum handing out candy.
